Poland's nuclear interest

1 June 2006

The president of Poland’s National Atomic Energy Agency Jerzy Niewodniczanski has told Polish paper Zycie Warszawy that his government was interested in cooperating in building and operating a multinational nuclear power plant with Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

As well as providing power, the plant would also be a useful site for nuclear experiments and personnel training, said Niewodniczanski.
