Parsons wins engineering contract for Bulgarian Belene plant

Bulgaria’s state-owned electricity monopoly, NEC, has chosen Parsons E&C Europe as the architect and engineer for a second nuclear plant in the Danube port of Belene, 250 km northeast of Sofia. Parsons will provide architectural and engineering services during negotiations for financing and during construction under a 10-year contract and will receive euro 16.88 million for its work during the financing phase, NEC says. The price for the second phase hasn't been disclosed.
