Framatome has completed acquisition of Trillium Flow Technologies France from the British group Trillium Flow Technologies. The divestment of Trillium’s French unit to Framatome is part of a massive, intentional dismantling and restructuring of the Trillium Flow Technologies global valve footprint. Separate from the Framatome transaction, Trillium has also entered into a definitive agreement to sell the vast majority of its global Valves Division (TVD) to Flowserve Corporation for $490 million in cash. The sale includes Trillium’s core valve manufacturing and service operations across US and the UK (including Elland), the Netherlands, China, Korea, and Canada.
Trillium Flow Technologies France specialises in the design and manufacture of safety valves and provides related services for the nuclear, petrochemical, aerospace, and process industries. It supplies more than 170 nuclear reactors worldwide. In particular, the company designs and manufactures critical valves used in the nuclear industry for both new-built reactor projects and reactors currently in operation, including spare parts and maintenance services. It notably has production, machining, welding, assembly, and testing capabilities.
Joining Framatome’s Valves product line, Trillium Flow Technologies France is changing its name to Sebim, with a new visual identity. Framatome’s Valves product line now consists of four companies: Sebim, Valserve, Vanatome and Segault. Framatome holds 70% of the share capital and voting rights in Vanatome and Segault, alongside TechnicAtome, which holds 30%. Framatome said the acquisition further confirms its commitment to serving the nuclear, defence, and other industries requiring high-performance solutions.
“We are delighted to welcome Sebim to Framatome. This acquisition adds key complementary expertise to our portfolio of valve solutions,” said Grégoire Ponchon, CEO of Framatome. “It is fully aligned with our strategy for growth and supply chain security. By integrating new critical capabilities, we are strengthening our industrial sovereignty and our ability to meet our customers’ needs.”
Sebim employs a total of 330 people and operates two production sites in Saint-Victoret, in the Bouches-du-Rhône department, and Vendin-le-Vieil, in the Pas-de-Calais department. Sebim is a major player in the safety of pressurised systems, is active in the manufacture of valves, alloys, parts, and structures for the liquefied natural gas market, offshore oil and gas activities, floating units, and also has expertise in mechanisms, power transmission systems, and flight controls for aerospace applications.
