Areva has been awarded two new front-end supply contracts. The deals cover the supply of fuel for E.ON’s plants in Sweden and Germany, and the delivery of zirconium to Korea Nuclear Fuel.

E.ON/OKG has ordered reload fuel for its Swedish reactor Oskarshamn 2 and its six German reactors: Grafenrheinfeld, Isar 1&2, Brokdorf, Grohnde and Unterweser. Deliveries will take place for Oskarshamn between 2012 until 2015. The fuel will be delivered to the six German plants between 2012 and 2013.

Meanwhile, Areva’s wholly-owned zirconium subsidiary, CEZUS has signed new contract with KNF (Korea Nuclear Fuel), ordering more than 25 tons of Zirconium Zy4 bars. Deliveries will take place from late 2010 until 2013.
