AMEC wins nuclear services contract

Project management and services company AMEC has won a major contract from British Energy for engineering and project management services on three of its fleet of nuclear power plants in the UK.

The five-year contract, the value of which is not being disclosed, carries an option for a further two years and will see AMEC provide project management and engineering services at the two sites at Heysham in the north west of England and at Hartlepool on Teesside.
