Valcor Engineering’s Nuclear Group has recently exhibited at both the POWER-GEN International Conference and the AUG/MUG Conference. Both proved to be a great time and an invaluable opportunity to meet with other professionals in the nuclear industry.

Power-Gen International was held in Las Vegas, Nevada from December 8-10, 2015. It is the world’s largest power generation event focusing on the industry’s latest innovations, technical trends and business strategies. More than 21,000 industry professionals from around the world gathered to discuss effective solutions for maintaining, operating, and building new power generation equipment

The AUG/MUG Conference was held January 11-15, 2016 in New Orleans, LA. This conference was a joint meeting of the Air-Operated Valve Users’ Group (AUG) and the Motor-Operated Valve Users’ Group (MUG).

The focus of the AUG portion of the conference was geared toward improving efficiency, equipment reliability, and safety in industries such as power generation, chemical, oil & gas, naval, and other industrial process control applications. MUG is a group of member nuclear utility representatives formed for the exchange of technical information relating to the testing and maintenance of motor-operated valves among the utilities and in coordination with other organizations within the nuclear industry or the increased reliability and safety of nuclear power.

These conferences were great opportunities to discuss in-person all the high quality flow control devices we can supply to the nuclear power industry, including solenoid operated valves, flow and pressure regulators, check valves, excess flow check valves, plug resistant orifices, cavitating venturis, and ASME Code Racks.
