RAPP 6 comes online

India's Kota, Rajasthan PHWR RAPS 6 was synchronised to the grid in late March, according to an NPCIL official.

As of 29 March, the reactor is currently generating 80MW of power, and will ramp up to full power of 220MW by the end of April.

The reactor follows RAPS 5, which went critical in November 2009.
