Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC said in July that it intends to issue tenders for modernization of Novovoronezh and Smolensk NPPs power units in November 2010.
Ukrainian turbine manufacturer Turboatom says it may take part in these tenders. The firm is already planning to take part in tenders for the modernization of Balakovo NPP, Kalinin NPP and other Russian nuclear power plants and has recently won a contract for Rostov 3.
