The development arm of UniStar Nuclear has entered into an agreement with Ameren Corp’s Missouri-based utility to assist in preparing a combined construction and operating license application (COLA) for a potential new nuclear plant.
Although no firm decision has been made on a location for a possible UniStar Nuclear-developed power plant, the agreement adds to the list of potential nuclear development projects now under consideration across the USA.
UniStar use Areva’s EPR technology based on a standardised nuclear business model jointly developed by Constellation and Areva.
