Professional services company Turner & Townsend and Canadian-based nuclear consulting company Nuclear Promise X (NPX) have teamed up to jointly pursue and deliver nuclear project opportunities across Canada, and beyond.
The two-year teaming agreement, with the option to extend annually, will initially focus on Canadian nuclear projects, with the flexibility to expand internationally where it makes sense to do so.
Canada is experiencing a renewed push for new nuclear projects and has the potential to add up to 30 GW of new nuclear capacity by 2050 to help meet its net-zero emissions targets. Gonzalo Rosa, Director for Energy and Natural Resources, Canada, at Turner & Townsend, commented: “Nuclear energy forms part of the solution of delivering reliable, safe and carbon-free energy across Canada. By leveraging the combined expertise of Turner & Townsend and NPX, we aim to deliver best-in-class Canadian and international nuclear expertise in line with our commitment to building a green, inclusive and productive world.”
Bharath Nangia, NPX President & CEO said NPX complements this with its people-first, innovation-driven approach to modern nuclear project delivery. Working with Turner & Townsend we are united by a shared commitment to excellence and a belief that delivering great projects requires collaboration at every level.”
