Russian supplier of engineering services and plant information technologies for the nuclear sector, NEOLANT, has signed an agreement with Nuvia of France to collaborate on projects in Russia.
Nuvia’s activities to be carried out in Russia will focus on the implementation of passive fire protection and anti-seismic engineering systems. These solutions are in demand among Russian enterprises, which are building and operating nuclear plants abroad, NEOLANT said.
The agreement builds on more than three years of cooperation between NEOLANT and Nuvia’s Czech subsidiary Envinet in the field of radioactive waste characterisation.
Commenting on the deal, which was signed during ATOMEXPO 2015 in Moscow last week, Jean-Jacques Doublecourt, International Business Development Director at Nuvia said:
"Nuvia ambitions are to be present on every significant nuclear market worldwide, and with such an objective, development in Russia has soon appeared as a priority.
"We are convinced that Nuvia can bring to Rosatom valuable products which benefit from the experience of major nuclear countries like France, UK or Czech Republic."
