SLOVAKIA The Slovak nuclear regulatory authority (UJD SR) has granted a full operating licence to the Mochovce 1 nuclear unit. The licence carries a number of conditions in line with a new atomic law that went into effect last April. The most important condition is the complete implementation of certain safety enhancement measures which are described as of minor significance. The regulators have decided that the measures should be implemented before the unit is restarted after its first refuelling.
