The University of Sheffield's Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (NAMRC) is out to tender for a robust and cost-effective solution for remote visual inspection, that is capable of performing the inspection requirements to assess the integrity of pipe welds.

This is a one -stage procurement under the EU's open procedure. The invitation to tender (ITT) and specification can be downloaded by registering and expressing your interest on the University's e-tendering system.

DESCRIPTION

Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: 149/MVT Remote visual inspection equipment.

Short description of the contract or purchase(s):

Any equipment offered should take into consideration the components size, orientation required for the NDE operation, any necessary jigs and fixtures to achieve and maintain the required manipulation and orientation of the materials in use. It will be expected that the supplier will offer alternatives and will submit a range of solutions. The tender should be for your product ranges, a full comprehensive package to cover all NDE requirements described in the general specification would be favourable but not mandatory.

Plant and equipment will be used to inspect samples to the following requirements:

ASME Section V 2010, ASME boiler & pressure vessel code nondestructive examination. RCC-M section III examination methods.
