Our Company Profile:
Hong Kong Nuclear Investment Company Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of CLP Holdings Limited founded in 1983. It has 25% equity interest in the Guangdong Nuclear Power Joint Venture Company Limited, which owns the Guangdong Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station located in China's Guangdong Province. Daya Bay supplies 70% of its annual output to meet about 25% of the power demand in Hong Kong, contributing to CLP's excellent power services with high supply reliability, outstanding environmental performance and affordable tariffs.

The Position Profile:
We are looking for a high calibre professional to join the Technical Team of our nuclear business. Reporting to the Technical Director, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Support Technical Director to meet regulatory compliance, international best practices and the Company's internal policies.
  • Provide recommendations and identify best practices in technical issues to support business development, operational safety and business continuity.
  • Identify technical improvement areas in nuclear investments and recommend improvement measures in alignment with the Company's business direction, policies and procedures for nuclear operation and development.
  • Provide support in monitoring the safety, operational and environmental performance of the Company's nuclear plant.
  • Provide support in stakeholder engagement and public outreach activities to increase nuclear literacy of the general public and enhance long term and respectful relations with relevant stakeholders and nuclear investment partners.

  • A recognized university degree in relevant engineering disciplines.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the field, preferably in a nuclear power utility with an operational, safety or engineering development background.
  • Excellent engineering and technical knowledge in modern Pressurised Water Reactors with demonstrable records in engineering project management in nuclear.
  • Good communication skills and analytical skills to develop expert advice, recommendation and resolution on technical matters.
  • Strong cross-cultural sensitivity and interpersonal skills with ability to lead a multi-discipline team.
  • Proven team player with strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese, with proficiency in speaking Putonghua.
