IT consultant's Swedish deal

3 April 2002

Management and IT consulting firm Cap Gemini Ernst & Young (CGE&Y) has signed a five-year applications management agreement with four Swedish nuclear power plants and the nuclear safety and training company KSU. The deal is worth around $5 million.

As a subcontractor to ABB, CGE&Y has delivered applications management services to Barsebäck, Forsmark, Ringhals and Oskarshamn plants, as well as KSU for 15 years. Now CGE&Y will collaborate directly with the plants and training company.

The new agreement comprises support for the management of each plant's operation support system, an advanced real-time system that is mainly used for the surveillance of the operational management of the plants.
