Two US companies have joined forces and are launching new products to provide filtration to BWR and PWR operators worldwide.
Framatome Technologies and Graver Technologies say they have formed an alliance to offer a full line of disposable cartridges and backwash filters, and they will introduce a new series of filter media incorporating recent developments in microfibre technology. “These filter cartridges are replacements for filters currently supplied by Pall Corporation and Cuno Incorporated”, according to Framatome Technologies product manager Lee Clark.
According to Mike Wengryn, product manager at Graver Technologies, the two companies’ cartridges “are designed to have higher dirt-holding capacities than those currently available for this application.” This will result in longer service life, fewer change-outs and lower operating costs, he added.
