Alstom wins diesel orders

Alstom has recently won three orders to supply emergency diesel generators for nuclear plants in China and Korea.

Alstom will supply LANPC’s Daya Bay and Ling Ao with a fifth diesel generator, the mechanical and electrical systems and electrical interface equipment for interconnection with the existing plant. Delivery of the equipment is scheduled in August 2001, with commissioning planned during outages scheduled up to March 2004.

Alstom will also supply four 5MWe diesel generators, other auxiliaries and control system to Tianwan. Delivery is scheduled in February 2002 and February 2003, with commissioning planned for 2004 and 2005.

In Korea, Alstom will supply the generators and electrical control and instrumentation systems for the four 6.5MWe emergency diesel generators to Ulchin 5 and 6. Delivery will begin in February 2001, and be complete in May 2002, with commissioning expected in 2004 and 2005.
