Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power (KHNP) said it would agree to supply technological support for Romanian nuclear plant operator SNN’s Cernavoda 1.
Romania started construction of the Cernavoda plant in the 1970s but only completed one unit, which started operation in 1996. The second unit is currently under construction, and KHNP has intimated that it would provide similar support for it when it enters operation.
