Two units at India’s Kakrapar nuclear plant have resumed operation following a March reactor trip.

The Kakrapar 1 PHWR was shut down and briefly restarted the same month only to be ordered offline again in late April at the request of the Indian Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, seeking further analysis.

The Nuclear Power Corporation of India concluded in late June there was no radiological release to occupational workers or to the public during the March incident, and no impact on nuclear fuel and other reactor systems or components.
