The transport department of the Zaporizhia NPP has again come under attack, ZNPP reported on its Telegram channel. As a result of the attacks, three vehicles were damaged, two of which were completely destroyed by fire. Fuel pumps and the glass windows of the workshop building were also damaged. “Currently, there is a high risk of repeated attacks on the station’s infrastructure,” ZNPP said.

Despite the latest attack, the plant continues to function normally. And background radiation at the station and in the surrounding area remains within natural limits.

Meanwhile, ZNPP again lost all power for two days from 11-13 June when the 330 kV Ferrosplavnaya-1 high-voltage power line was shut automatically shut down and backup diesel generators had to be used. The line had previously been disconnected on 5-6 June.

ZNPP’s only other functioning power line – the 750 kV Dneprovskaya line has been disconnected for more than two months. Currently a local ceasefire brokered by IAEA is in effect after months of negotiation to enable repairs to the line.
