Yuriy Nedashkovsky appointed to head up Energoatom

The head of Russia’s National Electricity Regulatory Commission, Serhiy Tytenko, has reportedly announced that Yuriy Nedashkovsky has been appointed chairman of Energoatom, the national nuclear energy company.

Nedashkovsky already headed the company from September 2001 to June 2002 but his reappointment must be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. Fuel and Energy Minister Ivan Plachkov recently appointed Nedashkovsky his public adviser for nuclear energy.
