TVEL fuel bid for Ukraine

Olga Kravets, vice president of the Ukraine’s Energoatom has confirmed that e thfirm is considering the possibility of using improved nuclear fuel from Russia’s TVEL at the South-Ukrainian nuclear power plant.

Energoatom may replace the fuel assemblies used at Unit 3 of the plant to the TBCA type produced by TVEL, which is already used by 12 out of 13 Ukrainian VVER-1000 units.
