Spain’s CTC joins European research association

9 May 2017

Spain-based research foundation Technological Centre of Components (Centro Tecnológico de Componentes - CTC) has become member of Brussels-based Nugenia, an association which promotes R&D into second- and third-generation nuclear reactor systems, Spanish nuclear industry group Foro Nuclear said. The Centre was established in 2000 as a non-profit foundation to bring value to companies through research and development projects. It is the second Spanish research organisation to join Nugenia along with the Centre for Energy, Environmental and Technological Research (CIEMAT), a statement said. As a member, CTC will have a “privileged position” when it comes to participating in international consortia, and having access to foreign companies looking for partners for technology transfer projects, Foro Nuclear said. Nugenia has 103 members from 25 countries including members from industry, utilities, research institutions and technical safety organisations.
