Russia to supply Petten

European Commission representatives have concluded a framework agreement with former Russian prime minister Mikhail Kasyanov, providing for the supply of enriched uranium to the high flux reactor (HFR) in Petten, the Netherlands.

Under the agreement, Russia will supply up to 600kg of uranium enriched to 93% U-235. This material will be used to produce fuel elements for the HFR in France or Britain.
