Rosatom sets up stall in Paris

16 October 2014

Rosatom State Corporation of Russia has launched a regional centre in Western Europe headquartered in Paris, its first such organization in a major western nuclear country.

The centre is the fifth Rusatom International Network subsidiary, joining others in Prague, Czech Republic, Kiev, Ukraine, Singapore, and Johannesburg, South Africa.

The company is tasked with developing international business for Rosatom's divisions by forging mutually rewarding partnerships with European companies and seeking out new business opportunities. Andrey Rozhdestvin, a regional VP of Rusatom International Network, has been appointed as the CEO of Rosatom France.

'The opening of Rosatom France, a regional center, is not only another milestone in Rosatom's global presence, it is also a logical move in the development of cooperation with French and European partners, the history of which goes back decades. It was through France that Russian uranium products made their way to the European and then to the global uranium market. A lot has changed in the world for more than 40 years of cooperation, but we have remained reliable partners demonstrating unquestioning commitment to fulfill our obligations,' Kirill Komarov, Rosatom's Deputy Director General for Development and International Business, said.
