A 40-metre-high mast, which is part of the ASRO (automated radiation monitoring system), has been installed in the vicinity of the Akkuyu NPP under construction in Turkiye. The mast is designed to accommodate meteorological equipment and antenna-feeder devices. Specialists from the engineering support department of NPP Doza are finishing the commissioning of meteorological equipment. Another 100-metre-high mast is installed directly on the territory of the NPP.
The new generation ASKRO will carry out continuous monitoring of the radiation and meteorological situation in the protection zone and on the plant site. NPP Doza is also supplying similar systems to the Rooppur NPP under construction in Bangladesh and to the Kursk-II NPP in Russia.
