The main objective of the project is the transfer of the best EU and international know-how on operational safety culture to the NPPs, in particular on the development of a strategy for the long-term Ukrainian safety management in a variety of design safety areas.

Applications must be submitted using the standard application form (available from the following Internet address: http://ec.europa.eu/europeaid/work/procedures/implementation/services/index_en.htm), whose format and instructions must be strictly observed.

The specific objective is the improvement of programmes and schedules of NNEGC Energoatom, including industry regulations on plant life management and plant practices, including methodological assistance in establishing and implementing ageing-management programmes for NPP critical structures, systems and components (SSCs).

The project aims at achieving these results for selected pilot NPPs to be completed with the establishment of an implementation programme for application to other Ukrainian NPPs. After the completion of this project, Energoatom should be able to set up and to implement an improved and effective approach to long-term safe operation of the Ukrainian NPPs.

Maximum budget:

2 500 000 EUR.
