NEW SGS FOR KRSKO

30 April 1998

A Siemens/Framatome consortium has won an order valued at about DM 70 million for replacement of the steam generators in the Krsko station, Slovenia, from Nuklearna Elektrarna Krsko (NEK). Krsko started operation in 1983, with an NSSS supplied by Westinghouse.

The consortium won the contract to supply the two steam generators to a Siemens design about a year ago. These are due for delivery next year for installation during 2000. The consortium has now won 17 SG replacement contracts.
