Guide to responsibility

1 January 2003

The Finnish Energy Industries Federation has published guidelines on how to improve corporate social responsibility in its sector.

The European Commission said that the paper was of particular relevance to the country's nuclear industry, as four reactors supply 30% of Finland's electricity. The guide lays down a three-pillar model for sustainable development, dividing corporate responsibility into economic, environmental and social components.
