Entergy support

Entergy has signed an agreement with Nebraska Public Power District to provide management support services to operate the Cooper nuclear plant throughout the last 11 years of the plant's operating licence.

Entergy will receive payments of $12 million in 2004, $13 million in 2005 and $14 million from 2006 through to the end of the contract.

From 2007, Entergy will be able to earn up to an additional $6 million per year if they bring Cooper's safety and regulatory performance in line with the top decile in the industry. In addition, Entergy will be reimbursed for all employee related expenses.
