Bashkir project resurrected

Construction has resumed at the Adygel nuclear project in the Bashkir republic of Russia. Work began at Adygel in 1980, but was suspended by a local environmental campaign in 1990. A local government source has said that the first unit will go into operation in 2010, at a cost of $750 million from the federal budget.
