ANSYS is named an Areva certified supplier

21 July 2009

Simulation software and technologies company ANSYS Inc has become one of Areva’s certified suppliers. It was named among 170 other US and Canadian companies.

Becoming an Areva Certified Supplier entails meeting 25 criteria, such as quality, sustainable development values and competitiveness. Other decisive areas included investment in innovation, capacity to tackle new markets, and attention to nuclear/occupational safety and the environment.

“With this distinction, Areva announces that it intends more than ever to strengthen its relationship with the companies that work closely with them,” said Jim Cashman, president and CEO of ANSYS.

Areva has a long-standing relationship with ANSYS, which has been involved in design optimization for the European Pressurized Reactor (EPR).
