In the frame of the multinational FINMECCANICA Group, Ansaldo Nucleare S.p.A. is an Italian company fully owned by Ansaldo Energia S.p.A., a world player in the field of power plants construction.

Ansaldo Nucleare S.p.A. is specifically in charge of the nuclear business, with the mission to promote and realize:

    HISTORY and LOCATION
    Ansaldo Nucleare was created in 1989 as an independent branch in the FINMECCANICA Group, having collected skilled resources from the previous larger companies Ansaldo Meccanico Nucleare S.p.A. and NIRA S.p.A.
    In December 1999 Ansaldo Nucleare was incorporated by Ansaldo Energia S.p.A., a company belonging 100% to the FINMECCANICA Group, as a Division. Starting from November 2005 Ansaldo Nucleare became a separate Company, fully controlled by Ansaldo Energia.
    Ansaldo Nucleare is based in Genova, N-W Italy.
    Since long time Ansaldo Nucleare has established offices in Moscow (Russia) and Bucharest (Romania) and has an important participation in two companies located abroad: NNS in France and ANSERV in Romania. It can additionally rely on the support of Ansaldo Energia local offices in about 20 countries worldwide.

    HUMAN RESOURCES and CAPABILITIES
    The Company can rely on a stable work force of about 175 employees, plus 25 sub-contracted specialists mainly involved in site activities. More than 100 professionals carry out Design, Analysis and Engineering tasks, in the following disciplines:
     Main components structural design;
     Remote handling equipment design;
     Safety and reliability analysis;
     Nuclear and radiation analysis;
     System design;
     Instrumentation and control;
     Electrical systems;
     Integrated plant engineering;
     Fluid mechanical and thermal-hydraulic analysis;
     Plant simulation.
    About 65 professionals are involved in Project Implementation Activities (Project Management, Commercial, Construction Management, Procurement, Quality Assurance)
