The key equipment at unit 1 of the Zaporizhia NPP (ZNPP) has been inspected by Russian regulator by Rostekhnadzor in the presence of experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to ensure transparency and a commitment to the highest safety standards, ZNPP said on its Telegram channel.
The focus of the inspection were steam generators, a pressure compensator, and hydrogen recombiners. The inspection was aimed at assessing strict compliance with the regulations and operating instructions for this equipment.
Based on the results of the audit no defects affecting the safe operation of the power unit were identified and the equipment is functioning in accordance with the established requirements. The radiation situation at the NPP site is normal.
The inspection confirmed that the operation of ZNPP unit 1 is carried out in strict accordance with safety standards, under constant monitoring by both national and international supervisory bodies.
