Urenco Isotopes has commissioned its newest isotope enrichment installation, Blaise Pascal, for the production of germanium, xenon, selenium, and silicon. This expansion comes as the global shortage of critical isotopes continues to impact medicine, technology, and industry. Urenco said Blaise Pascal represents a significant step forward in addressing these shortages and enhancing its capacity to deliver high-quality isotope products. The installation “enables Urenco to better serve its customers and partners across industries that rely on stable isotopes”.
Head of Isotopes, Linda Ashton, said the launch of the Blaise Pascal installation marks a significant milestone for Urenco Isotopes. “In a time when the global demand for critical isotopes is at an all-time high, we are proud to contribute to support the continued production and strengthen the supply chain, increasing supply security with our state-of-the-art facility. “This development not only reinforces our commitment to innovation and excellence but also ensures that we continue to support vital industries and applications worldwide.”
