Todd Wright is to replace Bill Poulson as Managing Director of Sellafield Ltd.
Poulson is returning to the United States to take up a broader corporate role with NMP parent company URS, where he will oversee a wide range of major projects after two years as the head of Sellafield Ltd, during which time he has guided the site through an unprecedented change and delivery programme.
Wright, who has been Deputy Managing Director under Poulson’s leadership, will formally take over the role of MD on Friday, February 4th, following the NMP Board meeting, and in line with the recognised NMP succession plan. George Beveridge will remain as Deputy MD and provide the required stability at the top level of the organisation together with an in-depth knowledge of the site’s operations.
Beveridge will be joined as Deputy MD by Doug Cooper, formerly President and General Manager at the Yucca Mountain repository project in Nevada.
NMP Chairman Tom Zarges paid tribute to Poulson for the leadership and vision he has shown in his two years as head of site.
