Rosatom’s mechanical engineering division is currently producing 10 RITM series reactors at the same time, including six RITM-200 versions for floating power units according to the head of Rosatom’s engineering division, Igor Kotov.
The division manufactures the entire RITM line for the icebreaker fleet and low power reactors. To date, 10 reactor plants have been manufactured, eight of which are operating on new generation icebreakers. Ten more are now being manufactured.
Kotov said that, over the next two months, Rosatom will complete the assembly of the second RITM-400 reactor for the Rossiya icebreaker under construction in the Far East.
