Following a meeting of the Forum of Future Technologies, Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed development of a long list of projects, including several specific to the nuclear industry. President Putin instructed the Russian government, together with the Russian Academy of Sciences and Rosatom, to prepare proposals by 1 June to create a database of the properties of high-tech materials and their components. This includes their collection, storage, processing, transfer and use “providing for the creation of a single intersectoral digital database of properties of such materials. “

In addition, Rosatom and the Kurchatov Institute are required to submit proposals to accelerate the creation of a research liquid-salt reactor and a nuclear used fuel reprocessing module as part of the New Atomic and Energy Technologies national technology leadership project.

The Russian government, together with the Russian Academy of Sciences, Rosatom, the Kurchatov Institute and other interested organisations are also instructed to prepare and submit proposals for the establishment of an intersectoral centre for additive technologies by 1 September 2025. The aim is to accelerate the introduction by industrial enterprises of such technologies, including the technologies necessary for the production of parts for the aviation, medical and other sectors of the economy.
