TAPP 4 begins commercial operations

Unit 4 of India’s Tarapur Atomic Power Plant (TAPP 4) has begun commercial operations, seven months ahead of schedule.

The 540MWe unit, India's largest, achieved criticality in early March.

TAPP 3 is expected to follow in about nine months.
