Rusatom Healthcare (part of Rosatom) intends to build at least eight radionuclide therapy centres in Russia’s regions by 2023. Director of JSC Rusatom Healthcare Natalya Komarova said on 30 July. "We understand for sure that we will have at least eight radionuclide therapy centres in the country. We plan to finally decide on the development map by the end of this year, today we have clear agreements with a number of regions, with some we still need to finalise agreements," Komarova noted.

She said that in 2022-2023, these centres should begin accepting their first patients. The geographic locations of the radiotherapy centres will depend on the needs of the regions, she said.
