Doosan Engine to build diesel generators for Korean plants

14 September 2007

Orders for AC diesel engine generators to be installed at units 1 and 2 in both the Yonggwang and Ulchin nuclear plants in South Korea have been won by Doosan Engine.

The alternate AC diesel generator uses a four-stroke medium-speed diesel engine (Doosan-MAN 14V32/40) to provide 5500kW during station blackouts. All of the engines are scheduled for completion in March 2010.
