Databases to be overhauled

UK-based Frontstep, a provider of business software integration systems has won a contract worth around $1 million from nuclear engineering company Strachan & Henshaw (S&H), also based in the UK.

Frontstep will provide an enterprise resource planning system and integrate other applications that support S&H sites in the UK and Australia. The contract includes the implementation of 17 different software applications, project and network management and hardware. Frontstep will overhaul and integrate 2000 disparate databases used by 500 S&H employees. The project is due to go live in November 2002.
