Beloyarsk neutron plant allocated 2006 funding

Construction of the Beloyarsk fast neutron reactor in the Urals is to receive funding equivalent to $34 million in Russia’s 2006 federal budget.

The BN-800 project, which will be able to burn plutonium, is expected to cost of the order of $1.8 billion in total.
