AREVA signs $100m deal with US utility

27 August 2014

AREVA Inc says it has signed a series of agreements worth well in excess of $100 million with a major US nuclear utility.

The agreements with the un-named utility cover fuel fabrication, outage services, and used fuel management solutions, and will provide a 'substantial amount of work for AREVA's workforce and facilities over many years,' according to Gary Mignogna, president and CEO of AREVA Inc.

The contracts will leverage the use of AREVA's Technical Training Center in Lynchburg, Virgnia, its fuel fabrication facility in Richland, Washington, and the used fuel storage manufacturing facility in Greensboro, North Carolina.
