16 July 2021

UK-based Aquila Nuclear Engineering is seeking a new parent company.

Since Calder Group founded Aquila Nuclear Engineering in 2011, Aquila has grown into a respected business with a strong pipeline of opportunities.

Calder Group has made the strategic decision to sell Aquila and focus on its remaining subsidiaries in the metals and precision manufacturing sectors.

Aquila currently operates autonomously with support from Calder Group in underwriting specific contracts.

Based in Winchester, UK, Aquila has established itself as an engineering specialist for the design and build of systems for domestic and international clients from in the new build, decommissioning, science, defence and nuclear medicine sectors.

Its engineers have a deep understanding of specialist disciplines within the nuclear industry including containment, shielded facilities, remote handling and transport systems for radioactive material.

"The Aquila Board of Directors will have influence on the choice of the preferred buyer, as the buyer must be able to demonstrate alignment with Aquila’s values; to be elite and ethical in everything they do," a statement said.
