II.2.2) Options:

Yes.

Description of these options: A further 2 x 2 optional years (total framework length possible = 8 years).

The agreement proposes to secure supply chain resources to support Magnox North Ltd and Magnox South Ltd in meeting operating, defuelling and decommissioning needs for up to 8 years. A total agreement term of 8 years allows the successful organisation to make a sufficient return on investment in terms of time, effort, cost and resources employed in its performance of the service. The term also provides sufficient commitment to the successful organisation to allow a partnership relationship to be built and optimised.

Due to the size of the mechanical services market relative to the scale of the proposed agreement, a possible term of 8 years would not distort competition in the market.
