Boltight offers managed service contract options

Specialist bolt tensioner manufacturer Boltight Ltd is offering customers the option of taking out a fully managed service contract to cover regular servicing work on Boltight's and third party hydraulic bolt tensioners, hydraulic nuts, hydraulic pumps and ancillary equipment.

The service package provides a simple and hassle free way to ensure tools and operating equipment are always safe to use and fit-for-purpose when called upon. Boltight takes care of all the administration and record keeping. Customers are simply reminded when tools need to be returned for inspection and routine maintenance.

Boltight's turnkey solution includes collection and delivery to the customer's preferred location with servicing carried out to a pre-agreed price. If required, customers also have the option to store tools at Boltight in the knowledge that they will always be serviced, available and ready to use at short notice. Typically, hydraulic bolt tensioners are serviced annually or after a period of heavy use following a major project or outage.

All work is carried out in the UK at Boltight's dedicated refurbishment workshop in the West Midlands. Any type or make of bolt tensioning equipment can be covered by a managed service contract, not just Boltight's own range of tools. Servicing might include replacing components, piston seals, the recalibration of pump pressure gauges and pressure testing.

Explained Boltight director Fred Heaton: "As businesses worldwide look to extend the lifespan of specialist tools in order to maximise their investment, more and more customers are seeing the value of our managed service contracts. Keeping track of what tools need servicing and when, and then arranging for the work to be done, can be very time consuming. Handing over the responsibility for managing this process to Boltight is both time efficient and cost-effective. We can ensure the tools are always ready for use and that they will perform as intended throughout their service life.

"A planned maintenance programme is also easier to budget for and it can be factored into the whole life costs of the tools from the outset. Our aim is to provide customers with through-life support for our products. For many companies in the oil & gas, power generation and industrial engineering sectors, a managed service contract is an ideal solution to keeping on top of their tool servicing requirements."
