7 December 2006

Skoda JS, part of Russia’s OMZ has won a contract worth more than €3.5 million with the Czech Republic’s Nuclear Research Institute (Rez) for the modernisation of research reactors LVR-15 and LR-0.

The project, due to be completed by mid-2008, will be 50% financed from the European Union.

The new project follows previous modernisation projects at reactor LVR-15 in Rez ten years ago and, more recently, the training reactor VR-1 at the Czech Technical University in Prague.
