Reactor units in Bulgaria are expected to be brought under the management control of a single government entity, local media reports.
Kozloduy units 5 and 6 and the as yet unbuilt plant at Belene will be united into a single nuclear company, the PARI daily reports.
The two plants, which will have a total capacity of 4000MWe, will be included in the company's capital as a state contribution in kind allowing the government to retain control over nuclear power production. PARI further reports that at the tender for construction of the Belene plant on 15 December, preference will be given to projects that envisage the consolidation of the two plants.
