Delays to German nuclear waste train

Protesters succeeded in delaying a train carrying 12 containers of processed waste from France to Germany. Nearly 15,000 German police were deployed in order to end the blockade.

The train was delayed for 90 minutes near the southwestern town of Bietigheim-Bissingen on its way to the Gorleben interim storage depot.
